It’s 4:30 in the morning. I was just at Walgreens. I got the two boxes of Splenda for free and the envelopes for 54cents. That’s with tax included.

Here’s my second couponing trip this month. Everything in the picture above, all 19 items amounts to $17.38. After coupons I paid, $9.94! Whee! Hehehe. I didn’t pay full price for any of these. I was gonna get free stuff from CVS but my store card is not working. Big thanks to Krazy Coupon Lady for helping us coupon virgins! Krazy Coupon Lady

Showing off the result of my couponing trip today. At Walgreens I paid $3 +tax for the toothpaste. Got a Register Reward of $3. I used the $3 to get Purex laundry detergent and three Reese’s Pieces. At Target I got the travel size Visine with a manufacturer’s coupon for 16 cents. For everything in the picture I paid $3.78!

I know I can do better than this but for a coupon beginner this was a success! The price before coupons was $15.03. Go, me!

It’s delicious. But I’m too full to eat because I’ve been eating the whole time this was cooking. Happens all the time. And because I’m Filipino, there’s a tablespoon of sugar in this. The best chopsuey I’ve had was from a restaurant called ‘Sandoval’ in my province in the Philippines. I tried to replicate it but I couldn’t find cockroach legs in my apartment.

I thawed too much beef so I made this right after the chopsuey with green curry from a can, coconut milk from a can and vegetables from a can. If that’s not cooking I don’t know what is.

Cooking tip of the day: Cleaning up is an important part of cooking. Everyone needs help in the kitchen. That’s why I have a HELP WANTED sign in my room of cooking. This way, my guests don’t have to ask whether I need assistance with the dishes. I just alternately switch gaze from the guests to the sign to the sink repeatedly without moving my head. Guest(s) -> Sign -> Sink -> repeat till they pick up the sponge. Try it!

My feet are sore from standing for a couple of hours. I’m soaking them in water. It’s almost 4am.

Today’s cooking tip: Yesterday while slicing beef sirloin thinly I got tired and thought about shaving the meaty block with a cheese grater. This does not work.

This dish was listed under Spain in the Nintendo cookbook. It has tomatoes and paprika. I used white zinfandel for the broth. Delicious!
